Joshua Jones’ passion is building bridges and solving complex challenges. A graduate of Leadership Clark County’s Class of 2022, Josh serves on the LCC Board of Directors and as Vice President of the NW Neighborhood Association in Vancouver and volunteers on advisory committees for the Washougal and Evergreen School Districts, the Boys & Girls Club, and The Historic Trust. In recognition of his commitment to public service, Josh was honored with the 2023 General George C. Marshall Leadership Award.
Josh serves as the Senior Director of Business Development & Marketing for the Machinists Institute, where he leads strategic growth, partnerships, and outreach. In this role, he expands apprenticeship pathways, K–12 career readiness, and employer partnerships that prepare our workforce for modern industry. He is also the founder of Waypoint Strategies, an education and workforce consultancy advising community partners on career and technical education programs and other youth programming.
Prior to stepping into his current leadership role at the Institute, Josh dedicated over a decade to the nonprofit and workforce sectors, including program development at Partners in Careers, and operations management at Soul River. From mid-2025 through mid-2026, he served as Vice President of the Board of Directors for Columbia River Mental Health Services, guiding the agency through a critical governance overhaul and financial restructuring to preserve vital community care. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Lower Columbia Fish Enhancement Group from 2021 through 2026.
