Leadership Clark County Announces its Class of 2018

These 36 individuals were selected via a competitive application process to participate in LCC’s nine-month Leadership Development Program from September 2017 to May 2018. Throughout the program, class members will learn about the history of Clark County, gain a better understanding of how government works at both the local and state levels, and be exposed to a variety of challenges our community faces.

Next Community Leadership Speaker Series Event is June 16th

The event, which is sponsored by Pacific Continental Bank, will focus on philanthropy and will feature speakers Jennifer Rhoads (Community Foundation for Southwest Washington), Paul Speer (Social Venture Partners), Phoebe Krueger (Pacific Continental Bank), and Jeanne Kojis (Nonprofit Network Southwest Washington). Jeanne Bennett, CEO of Workforce Southwest Washington, will MC the event.

Leadership Clark County Class of 2017 Graduation is June 8th

The graduation caps the Class of 2017’s nine-month experience in LCC’s Leadership Development Program, during which they participate in sessions related to a variety of community topics such as economic drivers, diversity, education, and social services. Class members also work in small teams on projects directly benefitting community partners.

Within a short time of completing the program, I targeted areas in the community I am passionate about, and I increased my involvement and volunteering.
