Leadership Clark County Announces Next Community Leadership Speaker Series Event with Mel Netzhammer and Bob Knight

Leadership Clark County is pleased to invite the public to the second event in the Community Leadership Speaker Series, which will take place on Tuesday, December 6th from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the Artillery Barracks building, 600 Hathaway Road in Vancouver. The event, which is sponsored by the Fort Vancouver National Trust, will feature speakers Mel Netzhammer, Chancellor of Washington State University Vancouver, and Bob Knight, President of Clark College. Jeanne Bennett, CEO of Workforce Southwest Washington, will MC the event.

The Community Leadership Speaker Series provides an opportunity for the public to connect directly to community leaders and learn from their leadership and community focus. Mr. Netzhammer and Mr. Knight will share ideas about leading their organizations, their visions for the future of WSUV and Clark College, and will identify future issues they think the community will face.

About LCC – Leadership Clark County is a nonprofit, nonpartisan civic leadership development program. Founded in 1993, participants are selected through a competitive application process and gain in-depth knowledge of our community and leadership skills that enable them to be more effective in their community involvement. The nine-month program runs September through May and is offered annually to individuals from Clark County's private, nonprofit and public sectors. Nearly 700 people have completed the program and serve our community as nonprofit board members, civic group leaders, business leaders and elected officials.
